3 months or 2 years...depends on who you are

Here are some shots from our 3rd attempt at the 3 month/2 year pictures. Attempt #1, Emerson was the only one photographed as Webb came down w/ pink eye (see previous blog); Attempt #2, Webb was attacked by a hateful mosquito and had an ear three times normal, so that nixed that attempt; The better of Attempt #3 are shown above...below, we tried to get Webb to give Emerson a kiss, but he almost smothered her...so we settled for him "giving" her the pacifier (which he is fond of doing anyway)
Get him off of ME!
Such a good big brother!

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!
We had a great 4th of July with our friends Kelli, Erik, Carter & Lukas! We played in the pool, the sand, and in the house w/ all of the toys! Dads drank beer and the kids had juice. Will cooked a great dinner, I did nothing but dessert! We topped off the night by going to watch fireworks - what fun! Just as we left the parking lot, the rain came down in big plops. Great timing! Here are some pictures of our fun day!

Here's Webb getting ready for our guests...filling up the pool!

Carter LOVED splashing in the pool. He'd jump up and then fall down - what FUN!

Carter sporting Webb's shades!Webb re-claimed the shades, but added the paci~

Is there something in that hole? I think so, but I'm not sure what...

Ooooh, a face full of water, that's what! Daddy got me!Silly boy!Carter and Webb enjoy another wagon ride from Carter's daddy before dinnerChowing down on some yummy corn on the cob! After dinner, Lukas decided to nibble on some sidewalk chalk...not too shabby tasting

Webb was very cautious around the sparklers - protect me Daddy!

We're not sure if Carter is praying for more sparklers or watermelon...

D's attempt to save Will from salmonella poisoning

I bought this tomato plant on a whim before Father's Day...it has taken off and already produced some tomatoes for Will! There are about 20 more blooms ready to explode any day now...to bad I don't eat them!

Emerson at 3 months...

EMERSON IS THREE MONTHS OLD TODAY!!
She is so happy about it!
Then I told her how much we think she weighs...
Webb has been practicing his best monkey impression...
pretty good, don't you think?
Webb had the urge to pretend he is a baby again...
he loved the Baby Einstein Playmat when he was small!

Poor Webb has had a rough start to his week...he came home from daycare w/ pink eye in both eyes. When Will took him to the doctor, we also found out he had an ear infection. Today he comes home w/ a mosquito bite on his ear that made his ear swell up (he's allergic to the bites) and he looks sort of like an elf (at least on one side of his head).

SLEEP

I forgot to mention that Webb slept on an Aerobed the entire trip at the beach. He had his own room w/ two twin beds, but we didn't take side rails with us, so that was not an option. But, the exciting part is that he stayed in his bed the entire week w/o any hassles! When we got back from the beach, we moved him into his big bed permanently! No more crib for Webb! He crawls into his bed and stays there. It's WONDERFUL! (although he doesn't necessarily stay where he should in the bed (head on his pillow), but he's in it, nonetheless!)
Now we can focus on getting Emerson into the crib!

Hilton Head 2008

Whew! What a week! Six adults and six children under age five! Fun in the sun at the beach, lounging and splashing in the pool. Quality time w/ the cousins and the minis (the little cousins). What more could a family ask for? Here are some of the weeklong memories!

Emerson's first day at the beach - she was exhausted by the whole experience!
Webb isn't too sure about the ocean, so he sits on mommy's lap for safety!
Sweet little face!
Cousin Ron entertains his Minis, Jack & Ellie

Ellie was worn out from the first day on Hilton Head!

There were no alligators in our pool, but there was a HUGE shark that Ellie tackled the next day after a good rest!
This is one of my favorite pictures!Whitaker and Ellie enjoy the cool tide pool we found!

Kathy always hamming it up... Webb acting so cool in Mommy's glasses!

Whitaker is showing how his swim lessons paid off!

What? There's something in the pool?

Our own bathing beauty! Daddy did her hair - can you tell? Jack is outta here - off the Salty Dog! When Emerson's not lounging on a pool float, you can find her in the hammock! Ellie loved some snuggle time with Emerson!

Whitaker & Webb enjoy some afternoon Baby Einstein (even though Whitaker's not a baby anymore!)

Sullivan can't wait until NEXT year!

Emerson is TWO months old!

Whew - it's been busy this week w/ exams and end of school craziness. Grandma has been here to stay and take care of Emerson while mom went back to work. Emerson has turned two months old during this busy time! Thursday is the last day of school and then we're off to the beach! YEA! Webb is very excited about the beach trip!! Can't you tell?
Here are some stats on Emerson's two month check-up:
Weight:
12 lbs. 14 oz. - 90th %ile (She was 7 lbs. 7 oz. at discharge from the hospital)
Height:
23 1/4 inches - 80th %ile (She was 19 1/2 inches when she was born)

Webb is loving his time w/ Grandma - she is a GREAT reader!

Uncle Daryl sent this Army bear for Webb...Mr. Bear watched Baby Einstein w/ Webb and shared his licorice w/ him.

All of this growing wears Emerson out!
